37 Of 40 Things To Avoid When Investing

#37 Insurance

So when you're renovating a home while investing in real estate one of the cheapest items you're going to purchase is Insurance, homeowner's insurance. However, all insurance policies are not created equal. Let me know if you've heard that before.

That's even more important when you're making renovations. If you're purchasing a home TurnKey, you will not need the insurance policies necessary if you're flipping a house or if you have tenants there. Different insurance policies have different clauses that protect you from different things. For example, there is tenant Insurance, there's construction insurance, also workers comp. Additionally, you might have a separate policy to cover what you want. So make sure you know your liability and know your cost.
